Putney solar project looks for investors

PUTNEY, Vt. -

A solar project in Putney hopes to attract investors.

The SunFarm Community Solar project has leased a vacant field to build 624 solar panels, producing up to 150 kilowatts of power.

Project leaders are offering 1,500 shares for purchase to Green Mountain Power customers, in exchange for a credit on their utility bills.

They hope to begin construction before the end of the year.
