This year's First Night Burlington is celebrating 30 years of ringing in the New Year.
Organizers say they have been working extra hard to coordinate this year's celebrations to honor the work of previous volunteers and performers who have made the last 30 years so much fun. They say they will continue their popular programming like Circus Smirkus and the Drums and Dragons Parade, while also rounding up some other old routines that have become synonymous with the night of celebration.
"It was a little difficult to have people come back. We also had to go back through our last 30 years of our program guide and figure out who has been performing, how many years they have been performing. We have some artists who have been performing for the last 30 years who are still with us. Then it was also trying to track people down seeing if they would still come up seeing if they would still play together again," said Jennifer Crowell of First Night Burlington.
Prices for buttons are the same as last year-- $20 for adults, $5 for kids and $42 for a family pack.
