Ferrisburgh man accused of molesting child

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A Ferrisburgh man is accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.

Police say Todd Clapper was drunk when he locked the girl in a bedroom where he was staying and assaulted her.

The victim's mother heard the girl crying and tried to break in.

Clapper eventually opened the door.

The girl was taken to the hospital.

Police charged Clapper with sexual assault.
