Lebanon police chief to retire

Posted: Updated:
LEBANON, N.H. -

Lebanon will soon be looking for a new police chief.

James Alexander announced that after 23 years with the city, he is retiring.

He has no immediate plans besides taking time off and then looking for a new job.

Alexander says looking for a job will be easier without having to keep the fact that he is leaving confidential.

He will stay on as chief through February.
