NORTH BENNINGTON, Vt. -
Voters say they want another chance to weigh in on the future of the historic North Bennington Graded School.
Last month the decision to close down the elementary school passed by 26 votes, with plans to reopen it as an independent school.
The Rutland Herald reports the school clerk received a petition with 130 signatures demanding another vote.
If the petition is found to be valid, the town will have to hold the third election on the decision within the next two months.
