Update on Vt. deer season

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Vermont is well-known for hunting, especially deer.

In 2011, it was reported the deer hunting season was at an extreme low in Vermont, primarily because of weather conditions.

Rifle season kicked off this past weekend and hunters seem optimistic for this year's season.

Patrick Berry is the commissioner of the Vt. Fish and Wildlife Department. He appeared on The :30 to update us on Vermont's 2012 season. Watch the video for more.
