Police investigate shooting in Barre City

BARRE CITY, Vt. -

A manhunt in Barre after a shooting.

Police say a man was shot in the shoulder area after a scuffle in a parking lot near Brooklyn Street.  It happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Police are still trying to determine what sparked the shooting.

"Anytime you've got something like this that's not solved, you know, I can't sit there and give a guarantee you don't have someone going around doing anything, but I have nothing right now to link that anybody else should be in danger," said Det. Larry Eastman of the Barre Police Department.

Police say the man who was shot did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
