Vermonters support limiting smoking in public places.
A survey of 400 Vermonters found that 51 percent favor a limit on smoking at parks and beaches, 29 percent support an all-out ban.
When it comes to outdoor markets, like farmer's markets, or the Church Street Marketplace, 29 percent want limits on smoking, 51 percent want to ban it.
That same survey found 81 percent support a ban on smoking in cars when there are kids in it. That survey was conducted last spring for the Vermont Health Department.
