SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Clothes and can drives can be popular this time of year, but how about diapers?
Monday night a South Burlington-based diaper drive kicks off for the holidays. It's the sixth year folks at Dee Physical Therapy have been coordinating the collection effort. Last year the group gathered 20,000 diapers for families in need working with the Committee on Temporary Shelter in Burlington.
"The idea that we can possibly donate these and allow them to keep a little extra money in their pockets to facilitate they're going out and doing something for their own family during that time is huge for me," said drive organizer Jason Fitzgerald.
Diapers can be dropped off at Dee Physical Therapy on San Remo Drive in South Burlington or at its field house location on Athletic Drive in Shelburne.
The drive runs through December 21st.
