NH voters busy registering on Election Day

CONCORD, N.H. -

Nearly 14 percent of the votes cast in New Hampshire in this month's election came from voters who registered on Election Day.

The secretary of state's office says more than 99,000 people registered at the polls.

Overall, nearly 70 percent of voters cast a ballot, which was just a bit lower than the presidential election in 2008.
