PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Nova Bus has landed a lucrative new contract which should maintain jobs at its Plattsburgh plant.
The company announced it has received an order to build 70 commuter buses for Houston's metropolitan transit authority. The order is valued at approximately $48 million.
The buses have flexible centers so they can carry up to 112 passengers and still maneuver on city streets.
The orders will be assembled at the Plattsburgh plant which employs more than 200 people.
