Terrick Craft
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -
A Springfield man charged with
attempted murder wants to be let out on bail, but prosecutors say are using his
own words against him.
Terrick Craft, 28, was arrested in
July for allegedly firing multiple shots at another man on a downtown street.
Craft denies the charges and wants to be let out while he awaits trial. But
prosecutors say recordings of jailhouse phone calls make it clear the reputed
gang member is too dangerous to be set free.
"Based upon the recordings,
Mr. Craft has evidence to desire to continue to change Springfield and the
context of the use of the word 'change' was violent change," Windsor
County Deputy Prosecutor David Cahill said.
The judge has not yet
ruled on the matter.
