BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Hundreds of folks in need of a holiday meal found one in Burlington this Thanksgiving.
A team of staff and about 150 volunteers played host to roughly 900 diners at Sweetwaters on Church Street. It's an annual tradition at the restaurant where all are welcome free of charge.
Guests were invited to choose from a menu of offerings that included turkey and all the fixings.
Sweetwaters has been serving the free holiday meals for more than two decades. This year it used 750 pounds of turkey and 400 pounds each of potatoes and stuffing.
