Slippery roads lead to several crashes

WILLISTON, Vt. -

Police say black ice contributed to several accidents around the state Friday morning.

There was a single car crash on Route 9 in Marlboro. There were two accidents in St. Johnsbury-- one on Diamond Hill Road and the other on Interstate 93. One driver was taken to the hospital with injuries.

Police remind drivers that black ice can form when daytime temperatures are above freezing and nighttime temperatures drop below freezing.
