Vermont female artisans are show-casing their creativity all weekend long.
Saturday marked the 23rd year for the Women's Festival of Crafts. Three floors of City Hall on Church Street were filled with arts and crafts all from women. More than 50 booths of pottery, jewelry, paper cut-outs, and more are on display for shoppers to browse. Artists we spoke with say making crafts serves as a getaway from the everyday work schedule.
Organizer Megan Humphrey said, "I sort of have a need to do it, it's the creative outlet side of my life. I juggle a few jobs and it's different than my other jobs so it's a fun way to have another outlet."
Women interested in entering the show next year can find applications on the Women's Festival of Crafts website. It's a first come first serve policy for booths.
