BRISTOL, Vt. -
An elderly woman was killed after being hit by a car Saturday night in downtown Bristol.
It happened just before 6 p.m. near the intersection of North Street and Park Place. Police say 85 year-old Anne Roscoe of Bristol was dressed in dark clothing and was crossing North Street when she was hit by the car. Police say she was not in the crosswalk. She died at the hospital.
The 19-year old driver of the car was not hurt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but alcohol and drugs are not factors.
