Nearly two dozen animals have been seized from a property in Littleton, New Hampshire.
Authorities took more than 20 horses, alpacas and llamas from the property on Main Street after receiving numerous complaints from citizens. Police say the animals, ranging from 6 months to 20 years old, had been neglected and did not have adequate access to food or water.
The owner had reportedly moved out of state and the caretaker was just over whelmed.
The animals are being taken care of by the Live and Let Live Farm in Chichester. The organization is accepting donations, because caring for the animals will cost $50,000.
The animals will be put up for adoption when they are well.
