BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. -
A woman has been arrested for her alleged role in a bank robbery.
32 year old Amber Monty is charged with aiding in the commission of a felony. Police say she helped her boyfriend and another man hold up the People's United Bank in Bellows Falls back in February. They allegedly called in a threat to the local high school to divert police. The trio made off with more than $6,000, about half in $1 bills.
Her boyfriend, Gerald Clough pleaded guilty to grand larceny and is awaiting sentencing. The other suspect, Chad Dustin, is awaiting trial.
Monty is also charged with holding up a gas station in Brattleboro two days before the bank robbery. Her boyfriend turned her in after being arrested for the bank robbery.
