WILLISTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say traffic is moving again on Interstate 89 in the Burlington area after light snow turned many highways into skating rinks during the morning commute that at one point saw the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 89 closed in different areas.

Police say the northbound lane was blocked on French Hill in the town of Williston while the southbound lane was closed just north of exit 16 in Colchester.

Police reported at about 9:45 a.m. that traffic was moving again, but motorists were warned the slippery conditions still existed and they should slow down.

Police say snowfall and glare ice caused the crashes.

There's no word on whether there have been any injuries.
