BURLINGTON, Vt. -
The Vermont Health Department is receiving a three-year, $3.5 million grant to fund programming in the fight against drug abuse and underage drinking.
Health officials say underage drinking in the state is a massive problem that leads to addiction.
The Rutland Herald reports the money will be divided among offices in Brattleboro, Morrisville, White River Junction, Burlington, Barre and Rutland, where they will use the funds to pay for programming tailored to their community's needs.
