Police say four teens were busy making bomb threats at Spaulding High School in Barre.
The school received three separate threats over the past week. In each case, police say a note was left in a common area of the school. Authorities had to evacuate the building before determining that each was a hoax.
The four teens have been cited into court in connection with the first two of the incidents.
"It wastes police resources, fire department resources, the school resources. It interrupts hundreds of students on their regular day, takes time out of their class, their learning for something as simple as a threatening note," Barre City Police Chief Tim Bombardier said.
The latest threat is still under investigation. Police do not believe the same foursome were involved in the third threat.
