RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - A 35-year-old Vermont man is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to charges he assaulted and threatened to kill a 17-year-old youth in the victim's Mount Holly home.
Nathan Turco entered the plea Wednesday to charges that he went into a Mount Holly home Nov. 25 armed with a knife and threatened the youth. Police say that at one point Turco allegedly held the knife to the victim's throat while threatening to kill him.
The Rutland Herald reports Turco had been released from jail on Nov. 19 after a probation violation.
In ordering Turco held without bail, Vermont Superior Court Judge Theresa DiMauro called his alleged actions "disturbing behavior."
Turco is being held at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center in Rutland.
