A multimillion dollar expansion for David's House in Lebanon, N.H.
David's House is a home away from home for families with sick kids receiving treatment at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
The nonprofit is currently taking part in its largest capital campaign ever-- a $4 million expansion project. It will create room for four additional families at the facility.
"We have up to 15 families at any given time and the bedrooms range from one person to five. We are running at about 85 percent occupancy. Over the last five years, we've turned away more than 900 requests for rooms, so this addition is really crucial in being able to meet the need that families have," said Dawn Stanhope of David's House.
The organization has raised $2.6 million toward the $4 million goal.
