MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Police in Vermont's capital city are warning pedestrians to stay off a railroad bridge that has become a popular short-cut downtown.
The Rail Program at the Vermont State Agency of Transportation has recently posted "No Trespassing" on the bridge behind the Shaw's supermarket and removed a wooden walkway that was on one side of the tracks.
Police say they are concerned that people might not know the walkway is no longer in place and fall, especially at night.
