BARNET, Vt. -
A Barnet woman is helping spread Christmas cheer to troops serving overseas.
Last week we met Nicquelle Fortin as she picked up donations for her Vermont Supports Our Troops Project. It's an annual gift drive in honor of her late husband, U.S. Army Lieutenant Joseph Fortin. He was killed by a bomb blast in Iraq in 2009.
Over the weekend the care packages were put together and 321 were sent out -- that's 80 more than last year. Six-hundred Christmas cards were also put in the mail.
