New musical talent has been discovered in Vermont. A 20-piece ensemble named "The Saturn People's Sound Collective" expresses creativity in numbers. The group includes some of Vermont's most notable musicians from a diverse array of backgrounds. The instrumentation includes 5 reeds, 4 trombones, 3 trumpets/flugelhorns, 3 cellos, 1 violin, mallet percussion, guitar, bass, modified drum kit, and percussion.
The 20 piece ensemble is under the direction of director, conductor, and composer Brian Boyes. He joined us for the show tonight. Watch the video for more.
