LOS ANGELES -
Gov. Peter Shumlin, D-Vermont, is expected to be elected Tuesday as the new chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.
Shumlin is in Los Angeles for the association's annual meeting. He is the only one of the 22 Democratic governors who has been actively seeking the position. And Shumlin's chief of staff, Bill Lofy, recently left that job to become a senior advisor at the DGA.
