Police arrest felon after high-speed chase

NEWBURY, Vt. -

A convicted felon is back in jail after police say he led them on a high-speed chase and waved a loaded gun at them.

Police say Michael Hoehl, 28, of Corinth, was wanted as a fugitive from justice in both Vermont and New York.

Police say he led them on a chase through Newbury Tuesday morning and pulled into a field, running for the woods. After police negotiated with him for an hour, he surrendered. No one was hurt.

Hoehl faces multiple charges.
