PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a bicyclist has died after being hit by a car on a northern New York road.
State police say 55-year-old Charles Signaigo of Plattsburgh was hit around 5 p.m. Tuesday while riding through an intersection on Route 9 in his hometown.
They say 44-yer-old Judith Exford of Morrisonville was turning left into a bowling alley parking lot when she saw Signaigo and wasn't able to avoid hitting him.
Troopers say Signaigo was thrown over the hood of the car and hit his head on the pavement. He wasn't wearing a helmet.
The investigation into the accident is continuing. No charges have been filed as of Wednesday afternoon.
