BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Police say 26-year-old Ryan Jarvis broke into a friend's home November 30th, taking more than 13-hundred dollars worth of jewelry, rare coins, and other valuables.

A home surveillance camera allegedly caught him in the act.

Last December, Jarvis proposed to his girlfriend with a three-thousand dollar ring he allegedly stole from Zales.

Investigators tracked him down after his fiancee posted the news and a picture of the diamond on Facebook.
