LEBANON, N.H. (AP) - A nonprofit residential program that serves pregnant and parenting teens and young adults from New Hampshire and Vermont is closing.
Hannah House in Lebanon, N.H., is shutting down Dec. 31, bringing to an end 25 years of providing around-the-clock care for young mothers, mothers-to-be and their children. Its day care facility is also closing.
The Valley News says the organization cited financial problems in announcing it was laying off staff at the end of the year and reorganizing in 2013.
Board President Barbara Callahan said she's hopeful that in time, the nonprofit can offer day care and outreach programs.
