Special Olympic teams to train in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -

Hundreds of Olympians will gather in Lake Placid this week.

200 members of the Special Olympics Team USA will be training for the upcoming World Winter Games in South Korea. This is the first time the team will train together. Sports include alpine skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, speed skating, figure skating and floor hockey.

The Special Olympics Winter Games will run from January 29th through February 5th.
