Police: Thief steals decorated tree from Vt. park

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - Police are looking for a thief who walked off with a decorated Christmas tree from a park in the Vermont city of St. Albans.

The tree was one of a number of decorated trees that are being sold at $100 each to benefit the United Way and the St. Albans Recreation Department.

Police say the tree theft was reported last week.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call St. Albans Police at 802-524-2166.
