St. Armand selects new town supervisor

ST. ARMAND, N.Y. -

St. Armand has chosen its new town supervisor.

The Plattsburgh Press-Republican reports Councilman Charles Whitson Junior was selected in executive session Tuesday night.

Whitson replaces longtime supervisor Joyce Morency, who died earlier this month after a long battle with cancer.

The 77-year-old took office in 1981 and was the longest serving member on the Essex County Board of Supervisors.
