2013 Premium Increases Show Promise for Globalsurance Clients Attached to Interglobal Policies

Interglobal premium increases for 2013 have come in well below the global medical inflation rate of the past 5 years.

Globalsurance clients will be pleased to hear that Interglobal has released their premium increases for 2013 and rates have come in well below the global medical inflation rate of the past 5 years.

Furthermore, premium increases will only affect Globalsurance customers attached to certain Interglobal policies. UltraCare policyholders will only see a 5% increase on their plans; optional maternity, travel and personal accident and International Student plan premiums (in China) will see 0% increases.

Over the past 5 years, InterGlobal’s international medical insurance premiums have increased by an average of 11%, a figure high among other health insurance providers reviewed in the Globalsurance International Insurance review. However, Interglobal has stayed focus on their goal of making the necessary premium adjustments to be able to provide unparalleled value for money policies for their customers.

To do this, several efforts have been made by Interglobal. The insurer has worked hard to improve their management of local and global medical services providers as well as containing costs by improving the claims handling process, aiming to reduce the over prescribing of unnecessary treatments.
