MILTON, Vt. -
A tractor-trailer carrying thousands of gallons of glycerin blocked part of Interstate 89 northbound in Milton overnight after it crashed.
Just before midnight, this 18-wheeler carrying 6,500 gallons of glycerin went into the median and flipped on its side.
The driver only suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
The interstate is open, but a passing lane was closed for the cleanup. Glycerin is a non-hazardous material, but it needed to be off-loaded before the truck can be uprighted. Crews expected the clean-up to take most of the night.
