Rutland solar project officially opens

RUTLAND, Vt. -

Green Mountain Power is officially powering up a new solar park in Rutland.

The utility broke ground on a 150-kilowatt solar installation on this Cleveland Avenue lot earlier this year as they strive to put Rutland on the map as the "solar capital" of Vermont.

The project is expected to bring in up to $100,000 in tax revenue for the city.
