Electoral College votes cast today

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

Electors across the country are meeting at their respective state capitals this morning to formally elect President Barack Obama to a second term.

While the popular vote happened more than a month ago, today representatives from each state officially vote in the Electoral College.

Vermont was the first state to place its electoral votes in the column of President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
