McGregor's Pharmacy pays 1 Mil in Medicaid fraud

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

A pharmacy with stores in Winooski and South Hero has agreed to pay the state a million dollars to settle a fraud case.

Vermont Attorney General Bill Sorrell says McGregor's Pharmacy swindled Medicaid by dispensing drugs more frequently than doctors prescribed and by charging Medicaid patients illegal administrative fees and co-payments. The AG says the fraud went on for 7 years.
