A key member of Gov. Peter Shumlin's job creation team is leaving for the private sector.
Patricia Moulton Powden is stepping down as the deputy secretary of Commerce and Community Development.
She is taking a job with the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation as the director of Workforce Development.
Powden also served under Republican Gov. Jim Douglas as commissioner of Labor.
No word yet on her replacement.
