WILDER, Vt. -
A guilty plea from a senior who says he turned to drug dealing to pay his wife's medical bills.
John Patterson admits he was selling prescription pills from his home in Wilder. Police say the 71-year-old would get his supply from dealers in Massachusetts. His plea deal calls for Patterson to serve 6-months of home confinement -- so he can care for his wife.
Patterson told the judge he knew what he was doing was wrong - but medical bills had wiped out the couple's retirement savings.
