Women charged with robbing South Burlington gas station

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Two women are behind bars after police say they robbed a South Burlington gas station late Tuesday night.

Police say 23-year-old Emily Kulik and 24-year-old Ashley Plowman went into the Jolley convenience store on Shelburne Road around 11 p.m. Tuesday and threatened the clerk. One of the women said she had a knife, but none was shown.

Police say they left with an undisclosed amount of cash, but both were arrested a short time later and are facing assault and robbery charges.

Police say the stolen money and cigarettes, and possible weapons have been recovered.
