NH church starting prayer book for Newtown church

LITTLETON, N.H. (AP) - A church in Littleton, N.H., is putting together a prayer book for a sister parish in Newtown, Conn., the site of a school shooting that killed 20 children and the six educators who tried to save them.

Sharon Palmerchuck, secretary for the St. Rose of Lima Church in Littleton, tells the Caledonian-Record parishioners wanted to do something special for the members of the church in Newtown.

The prayer book is expected to be ready this week for the St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. Residents can write in it a message or prayer.

The hope is to send the book to Newtown by Jan. 1.
