WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl in Vermont.
Benjamin LaBelle, 30, of Lyme, was arrested last week in Enfield, where he was working.
The Valley News reports the girl, now 7, initially came forward in 2009, but authorities only recently determined there was enough evidence to pursue the case.
LaBelle is charged with aggravated sexual assault and giving drugs and alcohol to a minor. He entered his plea Tuesday in Windsor Superior Court.
