Drug sweep in Franklin County, NY

FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.Y. -

A major drug sweep in Franklin County, N.Y., Wednesday.

Local, state and federal authorities arrested a dozen suspects. They are charged with selling and possessing a variety of drugs, including prescription medication and cocaine.

A press release from the New York State Police says the following suspects as arrested and charged:

 

Timothy M. Machin, 33, Moira, NY

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (2 counts) - Oxycodone

Arraigned in the town of Bangor in front of Judge Frederick Boardway.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

 

Melissa A. Cook, Age 46, Malone, NY 

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd - Morphine

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd - Morphine

Arrested on a warrant from the town of Bangor.

Arraigned in the town of Bangor in front of Judge Frederick Boardway.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

 

Edward G. Cummings, Age 56, Westville, NY

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 4th - Vicodin

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th - Vicodin

Arrested on a Warrant from the town of Westville.

Arraigned in the town of Bangor in front of Judge Frederick Boardway.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

 

Jason M. Fuller, Age 29, Burke, NY

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (3 Cts) - Oxycodone/Heroin

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (3 Cts) -Oxycodone/Heroin Arrested on a warrant from the town of Malone

Arraigned in the town of Malone in front of Judge Michael Lamitie.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Arrested on a warrant from the town of Fort Covington.

Arraigned in the town of Fort Covington in front of Judge Clayton Almond.

Rebecca L. Cooney, Age 36, Massena, NY

Arrested on a warrant from the town of Fort Covington.

Arraigned in the town of Fort Covington in front of Judge Clayton Almond

Catherine Tambini-Dustin, Age 46, Fort Covington, NY

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th (2 Cts) - Lyrica/Xanax

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th (2 Cts) - Lyrica/Xanax

Arrested on a warrant from the town of Malone

Arraigned in the town of Malone in front of Judge Michael Lamitie.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

 

Robert M. Dresser, Age 44, Malone, NY

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 4th - Suboxone

Arrested on a warrant from the town of Malone

Arraigned in the town of Malone in front of Judge Michael Lamitie.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

 

Shawn M. Dustin, Age 23, Fort Covington, NY

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd - Cocaine

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd - Cocaine

Arrested on a warrant from the town of Malone

Arraigned in the town of Malone in front of Judge Michael Lamitie.

Committed to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

    An Arlington man is facing an animal cruelty charge after police say they found a dead dog on this property.It happened at 2760 VT Route 313. Troopers were at Rick Thompson's home investigating a burglary involving a wood burning stove when they discovered the dog. Thompson told police the dog died from kennel cough but a vet later determined the dog had been starved to death. The 47-year-old is due in court next month.More >>
