Barton to hold moment of silence for Sandy Hook

BARTON, Vt. -

Members of the Barton community will gather Friday to mark the one-week anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy with a special ceremony.

Employees at Barton Village Inc. heard about the moment of silence planned for 9:30 a.m. and plan to release 26 green and white balloons with the victims' names on them.

They say they want to involve as many of the community members as possible.
