BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Burlington woman has pleaded no contest to charges that she contributed to her mother's fatal drug overdose this summer.
Lisa Fox, 34, agreed to a deal with prosecutors on Tuesday. Fox had initially denied allegations that she gave her mother, Cindy Goulet, the drug Dilaudid that led to her death on June 3.
The 54-year-old died of a lethal combination of Dilaudid and cocaine.
According to a police affidavit, Fox's sister told police that Fox had given their mother Dilaudid, and another woman, 28-year-old Anna Clark, of Winooski, had brought crack cocaine to the residence.
The Burlington Free Press reports that Clark, who also has been charged in connection with Goulet's death, pleaded not guilty in August.
A sentencing date for Fox has been set for Feb. 22.
