BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Investigators are blaming a cigarette
for the fire that killed a South Burlington woman last week.
Sally Walker, 58, was found dead after
firefighters put out the blaze inside her home in the Dorset Farms
neighborhood. Her body was discovered just a few feet from where it is believed
the fire started in the living room.
Investigators have now ruled the fire accidental, saying
it was caused by smoking materials. The medical examiner has not yet determined
whether Walker died as a result of the fire or some other reason.
