PSU gets big donation

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -

A SUNY Plattsburgh Aluma has left the second-largest donation in the school's history.

Phyllis Wells earned a Masters Degree in early education in 1957 and stayed at the school working as a librarian for 30 years.

The Press Republican reports Wells passed away in January, leaving the school a $470,000 gift from her estate.

She asked that most of the money go to a scholarship fund and the rest to fund special collections at the Feinberg Library.
