Police warn of fake salespeople

MIDDLESEX, Vt. -

Police are warning Middlesex residents to be on the alert for fake salespeople.

They say people are going door-to-door in the town posing as salespeople. But police say these people may be scoping out residences for burglary targets.

They say homeowners should use caution when answering the door, lock their doors, and report any suspicious behavior to police.
